As usual, the weekend came and went in the blink of an eye. I spent part of my time outside in the sweltering heat and a lot of time recouping (i.e. getting used to my new travel schedule). I ended up opting out of going to the Pitchfork Music Festival which boasts a bevy of great bands. Most of the bands I wanted to see played Sunday and I simply couldn't muster up the energy while knowing I had to wake up at 4AM the next day. Therefore, in honor of the music festival I didn't attend this weekend, I wanted to pay tribute to some of the great, new bands that I, unfortunately, missed.

well apparently we're musical soul mates! Have you heard the new Best Coast, Kid Cudi, and Rostam song... it's awesome! It's called "All Summer" and I definitely recommend it.
