I found dotted, hose-like socks from H&M (worn here and here) and fell in love with the twist on a hosiery basic. Since then, I bought these black dotted tights from The Gap a few weeks back and I can't stop wearing them. Unfortnuately, they seem to snag a bit more than normal tights; however, the price can't be beat (2 for $20), so I wont break the bank buying several pairs to last me through winter.

I have mine on for almost 6 months out of the year living here;)
These are so cute. I know exactly what you mean about the winters -- I'm literally in jeans or tights of some variety for at least half the year. It gets dull, truth, but what's worse is that it's just so ridiculously cold!

These are so cute. I love the dotted tights look too and have bought a few great pairs from Forever 21 that were really cheap. Of course they don't last forever either, but at $4/each, I can handle throwing them away after a few wears. I also love Anthropologie tights. They're a little thicker and last longer. I'll have to check Madewell's selection now. Thanks for the tip!

Tights are a MUST here in Chicago!!!! I agree fun at first horrible by Jan 15th! I have worn the twice since the weather has started turning, I don't want to succumb just yet! I have bought a few thick pairs at Nordstrom rack lately - they are like sweaters for your legs!
I'm a huge fan of fun tights (colored and patterened) to wear in the cooler months, but I completely agree - I would much rather just go bare. ;)

Talk to me! I need to check those Gap babies out...I have a polka dot pair and a sparkly pair from J.Crew (aka money pit) and love them, but let's face it they're not 2 for $20!! And ps-come Spring I basically want to burn tights and run off screaming into the night!

I'm in Madison, Wis. - I'm quite familiar with those harsh winters! Today is getting quite chilly with all of the wind we're having, but I stuck it out with one more day of bare legs. I don't think I can handle it tomorrow, though!
