| Rory Beca dress (old, but newer version here), F21 shirt (similar), Pour la Victoire wedges, Super sunglasses, Mulberry bag (now on sale) |
The best way to re-use a semi-formal dress? Put a shirt over it and knot it. The best way to keep cool on a summer day that hits a record high? Wear said semi-formal dress to work because it's the lightest, most breathable silk ever (and put a shirt over it, because said semi-formal dress is backless). Check out how I topped this dress with chambray last summer.

funny you should post this today.... i am wearing a semi-formal cocktail dress with a very light linen blend cardigan over it. said dress has quite the low neckline, and all sort of "overflowth."
love the simple champagne colors.

i love the knotted blouse look right now, btw great bag! happy hump day!
Totally with you on this! I've been wearing a lot of fancy-looking, chiffon-y dresses to work lately because they are the coolest, lightest things in my closet. My co-workers probably think I'm overdoing it. And I love freshening up an old piece by knotting a shirt over it. This is so pretty!
